Well… my hard work has paid off. Working at HP has opened up a great oportunity. Alienware (a division of Dell) has offered me a position designing the next level of gaming computer. Needless to say it’s an incredible opportunity. I do hate to move to Miami, but at the same time, how can I refuse this? It would be quite the upgrade as far as money goes and a change of scenery would be nice.

Anyways, I got a call in my voicemail today when I got to work. I was on a call at the time so I couldn’t answer it, but I guess it’s fortunate that it went to voicemail so I can share it with you all.

The job starts in less than a month so I suppose it’s time I get my affairs in order and get moved. That’s gonna be fun. But it will be nice to have a place to myself again.

Yeah, I know I haven’t posted in a while. But honestly there has been little to tell. Mostly work and such. Dating. But really nothing to tell. I may have to open back up the movie/game review.

What can I say? Life has been rather boring. Work, and fun. Looking forward to Frightfest next week. Going with lots of friends and such. Changed my blog theme to honor hallows eve (i’ll change it back afterward).

Generally enjoying life but just haven’t had much that was memorable to write about.

This is a project I’ve been working on. Mostly for fun.

I was born in NYC and did not learn to drive until after I had been in California for 10 years. I remember the first day I changed a flat tire - I got so excited, I had to call my mom.

 

Well, many years later: married now, two kids, full professor, and life going very professionally.

 

Despite that, I got so excited yesterday, the memories of that innocent excitement came back.

 

My specialty is finite element theory, multi-body dynamics theory, and non-linear deformation, nothing about computers.

 

I am a bit afraid of them… still… but learning… rapidly.

 

Your patience with me last night was fantastic.

 

You explained what to do. You did it in a calm and reassuring voice. You did not make me feel like an idiot or a bothersome person.

 

It is for reasons like this that I will buy HP products again…. for people like you.

 

I hope HP values you and your team.

Well.. I’m back in Greeley after the Celtic Festival. Lots of hard work. And a good amount of fun. Had a hotel room this year at the Plains, so that was nice. Got to see Adam, and a few other Cheyenne people I hadn’t seen in a while.

Well last night was interesting. Glenn Beck came to Denver. A few months ago when I heard he was coming, I made sure to get tickets to see him. We got to LoDo early and at at

Which oddly enough is right across the street from where Elina works. But I digress.

The show was good. He was funny when it was appropriate, and serious when he wanted to make a point. He even handed out copies of the independence notices that were read in each of the colonies. Overall a good show.

Well.. the LAN party is over. Fun was had and all is well. Didn’t win anything this time, but that wasn’t the point. Oh well… Here are some other pictures from Brandon’s Camera:

Well today was fun. We did COD4 and won a game, and moved to the third bracket before we were eliminated. As for UT, we played and made it to the 2nd round. I was shaking with adrenaline.
